I am a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants being a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with a certificate of public practice. My degree is a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University majoring in Accounting & Finance. I also have a Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Financial Planning. I was a member of the FPIA (Financial Planners and Investment Advisers Association) with a Certified Financial Planner qualification.

The first ten years of my career following university study were spent in the corporate accounting scene in Auckland working for companies such as Wilson & Horton and Elders Rural Finance. I then moved to Northland in 1994 to establish a Financial Services firm. In 2003 I established my own Chartered Accountancy Firm, Alpine Accountancy & Investments Limited. This firm is based in Wanaka at 38 Studholme Road.

I moved to Wanaka permanently in 2005.
